I've already mentioned the hot girl but we get her nutty boyfriend, a couple hick hunters and of course a silly Rambo-wannabe.

None of the performances are Oscar-worthy but they're at least good enough for this type of thing. The characters are all rather interesting in a "B" movie kind of way. Thankfully the majority of it is off camera. Naturally everything is going to end in an epic battle but before we get there we get other silly things including a sex scene between the snakes. The story is incredibly stupid but that actually works for the film because you can't help but laugh and just go wherever it decides to take you. The movie also knows to play around with the viewer and it's clear the screenwriter knew that mostly guys would be watching this thing as they throw in a hot chic with a snake tattoo on her back and of course we get a slow motion bath scene where she's not only showing off her naked body but lathering it up as well. Sound stupid? Well, it is but thankfully the filmmakers knew that the story was silly and they never once try to take it too serious and instead they just add on the cheese and in the end we're left with a decent little flick that doesn't try to do anything more than charm. A government man brings in the help of a scientist who just happens to have been producing a large boa who they are going to use to track down the python.

Sure enough the creature breaks free and starts killing people. Python (2004) ** (out of 4) An idiotic businessman has a group bring in an eight-foot python so that he can sell a hunting trip to a bunch of other idiots. In conclusion, a bad movie but not quite bad enough to be a terrible one. The acting is also pretty poor, some of the actors are attractive but not much is done to go beyond that. However, the script reeks of cheese and is incredibly amateurish, the story is illogical and sluggish complete with unconvincing action scenes and one underwhelming and tension-less battle between the snakes and the characters are stereotypical and made to do moronic things.

Visually, it actually doesn't look all that bad, the photography and editing are quite good, quite a remarkable feat seeing as I saw several low-budget movies in a row where they were problematic, and the effects, excepting the ridiculously over-sized python, while not great as such are a cut above the cheaply rendered ones I've seen recently. While not a good or great movie, there is something watchable about it. Any low-budget film that has vs in the middle of its title, and I know from experience from watching the likes of Dinocroc vs Supergator, leaves me dubious. I will start by saying, I was anticipating worse.
